Katrina's Visit

We were so excited when we found out that Katrina was coming in for a visit. What a treat to have her fly here from Denver just to see us. The weather has been nicer. It's been in the high 40s to low 50s. We decided to take the boys to a new park to get outside.

This park is really cool and has lots of stuff for little and bigger kids. Grant can't get enough of the slide. He kept trying to climb up it because he loved it so much.

Reed really liked pushing his car all around the sidewalk. He would only think about doing a slide or something after Grant did it first.

This place is going to be SUPER in the spring. There is so much for them to do and walk around in.

So the boys are totally obsessed with sunglasses. They love mine, Jeff's, Katrina's, any pair they can get their hands on. While Katrina and I were at Wal-Mart neighborhood Market, my new favorite store, we saw a pack of sunglasses for $1!!! FOUR pairs for $1. Let me tell you what a hit those are. Check out the "cool dudes".

Reed is so in love with his ball. He loves to throw it around the kitchen all the time. It's his favorite thing to do. I've been waiting for this to happen and today was the first time. He got it stuck in the sink and couldn't get it out. Too cute!

The Beck house has been kind of a sad place lately. We've started doing "Time Out". The boys are not always nice to us and can be hurtful to each other too. So we have had to start spending some time in "time out" So sad. (Grant) Here is my little man in "time out" for biting his brother on the arm. So so sad. Look at that lip.

Week of More Firsts

I just can't get over how much these guys are learning each day. Not always things I would like them to learn and/or figure out. Last week Reed finally decided that he would take his own diaper off. I ran down stairs to let the dog out and found this when I came back.

It's a little bit scary to know that this could be his new nap time trick. I just hope he doesn't figure that part out soon. Jeff is always tell me that they can do more than they are aware. I keep telling Jeff that I like it that way. :)

For Valentine's day we decided to do our first hand painting project for Jeff. Being a former teacher, I have learned that it's much better to have many handprints to choose from. So I did the boys hands several times on two sheets of paper.

This way I knew we'd have lots of choices.

What's a Valentine without glitter?? We were proud of the finished product.

I just hope he actually took them to work and not the trash at work.
Love was in the air this weekend. That's for sure. Archie has decided recently that he loves the babies and loves to snuggle when they have their night time bottle before bed. I think it's just because they're warm and still. (Reed)
Jeff decided that they boys needed a hair cut this weekend too. I was cleaning up the kitchen and I came into our bathroom to find him giving them a trim.

Reed's hair was the longest and had some curls on the back. But it was getting matted and gross so we had talked about cutting it. He got to go first.

Handsome guy!!! He was so good while daddy cut his hair.

Grant didn't need it as much but it was nice to clean up around his ears.

He was a lot harder to get still. He just didn't care for us touching his head. It all came out well though and they look so nice now.

Both the babies have discovered another love of mine, Lucky Charms. I put some in their snack cups when we ran out of cheerios. Well these two smarties decided that the marshmellows are the best, DUH. Reed sat on the floor for 20 min trying to dig them all out.

His hands were so sticky and so was his face (and shirt), but he managed to pick them all out. Then he fed the cereal part one by one to the dogs. They were more than happy about the recent love of Lucky Charms.

Aunt Denise's Visit

This weekend was CRAZY fun!! My aunt Denise came out from San Diego to see us for a long weekend. What a treat. We got to do lots of fun things like go to the children's museum and our very first SWIM CLASS!! Jeff and I even got to go out for dinner ALONE!! It was so nice to see her. We love her and wish she could come every weekend.

The swimmers in the locker room before class. (Grant left Reed Right)

We took lessons at the community pool. TOTALLY cool. It's got and indoor water play place that will be cool to use this summer.

At first all they wanted to do was splash, and splash, and splash.

Then they calmed down and started "listening" to the teacher.

View of class. Jeff decided he would rather take pictures than participate (shocking) and Aunt Neisie was way happy to participate (we are the same person).

Grant was so good for her.

Learning to be comfortable on our backs.

Grant decided that he was done. Even though the water was warm and so was the room, his bottom lip would not stop chattering. Poor guy. We had such a good time. They aren't going to be Michael Phelps by the end of class, but it's a start. WE go back on Saturday and hopefully will do better.

The boys have learned how to hug. They just amaze me everyday with what they can understand. Now when I say "give your brother a hug" they walk up to eachother and hug. It's sooooooo cute I want to die. They also can go get a tissue when their nose is runny and they know how to put their cup on the table. Sooooooo cute!!

They also like to hold hands. But they're not as good at this. :)

Comming Soon...

So we don't have any pictures this week. It's been a slow week. But my Aunt Denise is coming tomorrow and I'm sure we'll have tons to share next week. We also have our very first swim lesson on saturday. So stay tooned.

P.S.: We love Valentine's day in the Beck house and are so looking forward to it. We hope you like the Valentine's inspired background.
